Welcome to the scrappiest little art studio in town!
K-5 Classes begin April 2025.
Adult Classes in May!

Scrap Bin Studio will be a place where kids, adults and families can come discover their infinite
creative potential in a playful and cozy setting.

We will offer classes, camps, workshops and parties for all ages. Our philosophy is person-centered and choice-based, meaning the humanity and dignity of our students (especially children) will be honored above all else, and the art we create will be a clear expression of the artist, never “cookie-cutter!” We commit to reducing waste in our business by using recyclable and up-cycled materials whenever possible. We will be a low-technology space where screens are used rarely for instruction purposes. We will never show a child’s face on our social media out of respect for privacy and safety.

Tentative classes have been scheduled! Please sign up (with no obligation) to reserve a spot. Register before Feb. 1st 2025 and receive 15% off your class or package!

Please add yourself to our mailing list to be notified when new classes are released and for other news and discounts.

Let me know exactly what you’re hoping for in a new local art studio - it would be so helpful! I’ll offer %10 off your first purchase of a class or package for taking the trouble.

Process-Based Art

My program and approach centers process over product, providing loads of choices in materials and themes, while also instructing in traditional art and craft mediums and bringing in contemporary and cultural art prospectives.

Creative Re-Use and Sustainability

I am committed to reducing waste in my life and art and strive to find novel ways to incorporate found and up-cycled materials in the studio. Please contact me to donate supplies!

Screen-Free Enrichment

As a teacher and a parent I see the negative effects of too much screen-based fun, and I hope to provide a super engaging experience for your kids that will teach them the skills they need to be creative and joyful throughout their lives without the need for screens.
